Overview: In the scope of the READY4DISasters project, partners organized an international webinar on November 5, 2024 to explore the connection between climate change and natural disasters risks.

Session 1: Climate Change and Natural Disasters

This session will delve into the complex relationship between climate change and natural disasters. Dr. Marc Zebisch, a leading expert in climate change and Head of Center for Climate Change and Transformation - EURAC research , will provide a comprehensive overview of the far-reaching consequences of climate change on our planet. He will discuss how to assess climate risks and explore potential solutions to adapt to a changing climate.

Session 2: READY4Disasters Project Results

This session will showcase the key outcomes of the READY4Disasters project. Project partners will present three significant results:

1. Competence Path Planning Tool: A tool designed to help organizations identify training needs and develop tailored training plans to enhance disaster preparedness and response capabilities.

2. Training Modules and OERs: The 8 training modules and Open Educational Resources covering various aspects of disaster risk reduction and management.

3. Game Mobile App: An innovative mobile game that simulates real-world disaster scenarios, allowing users to practice decision-making skills and develop strategic thinking.
