In the scope of the READY4DISasters - "Resilient communities through awareness and preparedness against the risks of fire, flood, and landslide" project partners are organizing an international webinar on November 5, 2024 to explore the connection between climate change and natural disasters risks.
This international webinar has several goals:
1. Raising awareness on climate change and natural disasters risk reduction: The webinar aims to educate a global audience about the connection between climate change and increased disaster risks. An expert from EURAC research will explain how climate change contributes to extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and other natural disasters.
2. Sharing the READY4DISasters project main results: The webinar offers a platform for project partners and for civil protection trainers and volunteers, experts from around Europe to share their knowledge and experiences in dealing with climate change and disaster risks. Discussions on disaster preparedness, early warning systems, and risk reduction strategies.
3. Fostering collaboration: This international webinar brings together people from different EU countries and backgrounds to discuss solutions and collaborate on ways to address climate change and disaster risks and build resilient communities across the EU.
